This course will equip students with the necessary skills to be successful in a UK or English speaking university at undergraduate or postgraduate levels of education (dependent on the student’s current qualifications).
• 12 weeks. Please note, some classes me be delivered online.
• Qualification: High School Diploma Year 12 /
RQF Level 3 or equivalent.
• English Entry Qualification: 4.5 IELTS or equivalent
• Minimum Age: 17 years
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an ETC Pre-Sessional Certificate dependent on the nature and achievement of your course of study.
You will also receive an end of course report which will show your estimated CEFR / IELTS English level according to your performance in projects and assignments. Students studying for 24 weeks will receive a Diploma Award.

Experience of Staff
Staff teaching EAP have at least a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, such as a DipTESOL or DELTA or a relative Master’s Degree.
Staff teaching English modules hold a CELTA or CertTESOL qualification.
Staff teaching ‘English for’ subjects have a CELTA or CertTESOL qualification and qualifications or experience in the subject area they are teaching.
The Pre-Sessional course includes 4 modules:
- English for Academic Purposes
- EAP Reading
- EAP Writing
- EAP Speaking
- EAP Listening
- English for Special Purposes
- ICT (Information Communication Technology)
English, EAP and IELTS
English, EAP and IELTS are included in this course (dependent on the student’s English level).
English for Special Purposes
Students can choose a specialist subject, related to their intended university course, to study in the English for Special Purposes module. Students will learn English for their subject, including specialist language used in the industry.
Students can choose from a variety of fields, such as:
- English for Law
- English for Military
- English for Tourism
- English for Business
- English for Medicine
- English for Management
- English for Finance/Accounting
- English for Information Technology
- English for Human Resources Management
- English for Media and Communications/Journalism

Fees and Other Relevant Costs
Tuition fees for new students
£3,700 per 12 week course (this includes a £100 non-refundable enrolment fee).
Tuition fees for existing or continuing students
£3,600 per 12 week course.
A range of books are recommended to supplement teaching and are purchased at the discretion of the student.
